A man in his eighties is in a critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times at his home in Beyers Street in Krugersdorp-West.
He was found this morning at about 07:30.
When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the elderly man still in his bed with multiple stab wounds.
Athlenda Mathe, a Netcare 911 spokesperson said he was stabilised on scene by a Netcare911 Advanced Life Support Paramedic and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The exact detail as to what happened will form part of a police investigation and comment.
